Overview
We are is seeking an Interventional Cardiologist Physicians to provide on-call cardiology coverage for a Medical Centre. This onsite role involves delivering diagnostic and interventional cardiology services while ensuring timely response to patient care needs during evenings, weekends, holidays, and other scheduled coverage periods.
Schedule & Location

On-call, contract position (1099 Independent Contractor)

Approximately 1,040 hours annually

Onsite position in Salt Lake City, Utah

Availability required during evenings, weekends, holidays, and other assigned coverage periods

Must be available by phone within 5 minutes and able to arrive onsite within 30 minutes when on call
Key Responsibilities
-
Provide on-call Interventional Cardiology physician services.

Perform diagnostic and interventional cardiology procedures in accordance with established clinical standards and best practices.

Maintain onsite clinic coverage during assigned facility hours.

Respond promptly to patient care needs during on-call periods.

Coordinate continuity of care with healthcare teams and administrative staff.

Arrange replacement coverage when unable to fulfill assigned shifts and communicate scheduling changes appropriately.

Maintain compliance with credentialing, licensing, and privileging requirements.

Deliver high-quality cardiovascular care while adhering to all applicable clinical and regulatory standards.
Requirements
Required Qualifications
-
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Interventional Cardiology.

Active, unrestricted medical license.
-
Current licensure and board certification requirements applicable to the state of Utah.

Current ACLS and BLS certifications.
-
DEA registration, where applicable.
-
National Provider Identifier (NPI), where applicable.
-
Current professional liability/malpractice insurance.

Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.

Experience performing a broad range of interventional cardiology procedures.

Strong clinical decision-making and emergency response capabilities.

Ability to work independently in an on-call environment.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Experience working within large healthcare systems or multidisciplinary care environments.
Benefits

Pay Rate: $421.00 - $475.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
